Niger Delta Military Operation Targets Illegal Refining
Recent operations by the Nigerian military in the Niger Delta have successfully dismantled 14 illegal refining sites and led to the arrest of 71 suspects. The operations, a joint effort by the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army and other security agencies, were conducted from July 21 to August 10, 2025.

Additional Recoveries: Soldiers also seized vehicles and boats used for transporting the illegally refined products.
