 Focus on Dantata Residence: The President's itinerary was notably focused solely on the residence of the late Alhaji Aminu Dantata. He did not visit the Government House or either of the two Emirs of Kano (Lamido Sanusi and Aminu Ado Bayero) who are currently involved in a tussle for the stool. This decision by the presidency was reportedly made to avoid being seen as taking sides in the ongoing Kano emirship crisis.
