Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has publicly admonished northern political elites for blaming President Bola Tinubu for the region’s poor performance, insisting they should instead focus on self-reflection and regional renewal. Speaking at a citizens’ engagement event hosted by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Foundation, he highlighted that no president can succeed without the cooperation of regional leadership.
Sani praised some of Tinubu’s initiatives in agriculture, education, and security, asserting that many northern leaders have failed to deliver on promises and have remained silent for decades. He warned that blaming federal administration without addressing local mismanagement amounts to hypocrisy.
He emphasized that transformative governance requires partnership between federal and regional actors, stressing that electoral pledges must become genuine commitments. The governor urged leaders to prioritize public service over political posturing.
