Nigerians Groan Under Economic Pressure
President Bola Tinubu’s administration is facing growing criticism over the rising cost of living in Nigeria. From fuel prices to food and transportation, citizens are calling for urgent government intervention to address the worsening economic hardship.
As inflation continues to surge, many Nigerians are finding it increasingly difficult to cope with daily expenses. Following the removal of fuel subsidy and a floating exchange rate policy, the cost of basic commodities has skyrocketed, sparking nationwide concerns.
Critics argue that the Tinubu-led government has not provided adequate cushioning measures for the poor. Civil society organizations and labour unions have staged protests and issued ultimatums, urging the government to roll out policies that protect vulnerable Nigerians.
The presidency, however, maintains that these reforms are necessary for long-term economic stability, promising that palliative measures are underway to ease the burden.
