Nigeria’s Super Falcons secured a strong 3–1 victory over Ghana’s Black Queens in a friendly match held in Casablanca as part of their final preparations for WAFCON .
The Falcons opened scoring early in the first half with a precision strike from captain Asisat Oshoala. Ghana quickly equalized, but Nigeria regained control through incisive play, with forward Ajibade netting a powerful header just before halftime .
In the second half, the Falcons dominated midfield and pressed aggressively, sealing the win with a late goal from substitute striker Nkechi. Coach praised the team’s cohesion but acknowledged areas for tactical improvement ahead of the tournament .
The win has lifted the squad’s confidence and sent a message to other WAFCON contenders that Nigeria remains a force to be reckoned with on the continental stage.
