An escaped prisoner has released a video from his hiding place, seeking help from President Trump and various rappers in the United States.
Antoine Massey, one of ten inmates who escaped from the Orleans Justice Center on May 16, has appeared online to plead his case and deny the allegations related to his arrest and escape.
In the video, Massey states, “I am one of the ones that was let out of OJC.” He reaches out to rappers Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, and NBA YoungBoy, as well as former President Donald Trump for assistance.
At one point in the video, he says, “Who I was in the past is not who I am today,” while denying accusations that he threatened a maintenance worker with a weapon. Massey describes the jail system as “corrupted,” referring specifically to both the Orleans Justice Center and the St. Tammany Parish jails.
Massey claims that the domestic abuse battery charge keeping him incarcerated was based on a false report from a jealous girlfriend. He even displays what he asserts are affidavits, stating, “This is the affidavit on a date right here.”
He also accuses the State of Louisiana of corruption, arguing that he is being unfairly prosecuted and mistreated while behind bars. Massey insists that he is facing life in prison for charges he does not deserve, claiming that his decision to escape was driven by a desire to flee an unjust situation.
Massey is one of two inmates still at large from the group of ten who escaped from the Orleans Justice Center on May 16. He and fellow escapee Derrick Groves are the last two missing, while authorities have recaptured eight of the escapees and arrested more than a dozen individuals accused of aiding them.
There is currently a $50,000 reward for tips leading to the capture of Groves and Massey.
