Remembering the late former first lady Mrs Stella Obasanjo
A Memorial Service was hold for the Late First Lady, Chief Mrs. Stella Obasanjo to celebrate her life, impact, and enduring legacy as she clock 20 years of her death.
The event took place at the Chapel of Christ the King of Glory, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, Ogun State, the late Mrs Obasanjo died at the age of 59 on October 23, 2005, in Marbella, Spain, following complications from an elective cosmetic surgery "liposuction" procedure.
Among the attendees are Her son Olumuyiwa Obasanjo and his family, The late First Lady's younger brother John Abebe, Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, and the Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Gbenga Daniel a former governor, Rev. Prof. Yusuf Obaje.
The tribute which was led by Former President Olusegun Obasanjo describing his wife as dedicated to service also commenting after the church service to journalist he said they came to celebrate a life of service, he also make a personal remark saying he misses his wife.
The late first lady only child Olumuyiwa Obasanjo also make an emotional remark noting how he misses his mom's laughter, kindness, and all the advice, life lessons that she shared.
