Police use tear gas to disperse the free Nnamdi kanu protesters 




The Free Nnamdi kanu protest that is taking place today at the capital city of Nigeria Abuja was met with the use of tear gas by police on the protesters around  the Transcorp Hilton Hotel near the headquarters of Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC).


At the early hours of Monday morning of 20th October as the demonstrators and organizers lead by omoyele soware begins to gather at the location many police officers Military and civil defense officers were deployed to the area.


Alleged report started that immediately the start of the protest tear gas and live bullet were fired to the demonstrators which sowore confirms that non of his team were hit and they are all safe but it leads to panic and dispersal of traders, onlookers and participants of the demonstrations.


Their are report of heavy roadblocks and traffic gridlock on major routes in the city as the tear gas that was fired lead to the closure of some businesses around the areas.


Protesters respond by shouting different slogans like free Nnamdi kanu and also chanting for their rights to Protest as citizens of Nigeria, but the government officers dismiss their efforts which leads to their dispersal.


Sowore alleged that innocent bystanders we're beaten while some are arrested alongside Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer Aloy Ejimakor and brother to Nnamdi kanu Prince Emmanuel Kanu.
