Nigerian military has restored security along kebbi, zamfara, Niger border 





A significant victory was achieved by the Nigerian military against bandits attempting to enter Kebbi State from the border along  Zamfara state.


The bandit were armed with heavy weapons on motorcycles, which are the primary means of mobility for the bandits. The operation took place in Makurdi village in the Ngaski Local Government Area of Kebbi State, which is connected with area borders of Zamfara and Niger.



The military were able to kill more than 80 bandits with more fleeing with sustained gun injuries they also recovered and destroyed dozens of motorcycles that are used by the armed bandit.


Two abducted victims were successfully rescued during the operation forcing several bandit groups to retreat deeper into neighbouring forests within the state.


This incident was confirmed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Communication and Strategy Abdullahi Idris Zuru today in a statement released , governor Nasir Idris also donate 100 Hilux vehicles and 5,000 motorcycles reportedly to the troops to enhance their mobility and response capacity.



The Emir of Yauri, Dr. Zayyanu Muhammad also commended the troops for their efforts and the state governor's commitment to securing the state.
