ASUU has suspended the two week warning strike 

The two week warning strike by Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU has been suspended today 22nd of October the national executive council meeting NEC which took place on the 21st of this month.

A one month window was given to the federal government to address the outstanding issues that include, Release of withheld third party deductions, Sustainable Funding and Revitalization of Public Universities, Cessation of the alleged victimization of lecturers, Renegotiation of the 2009 FGN/ASUU Agreement, Payment of Outstanding Salaries of EAA.

Confirming the suspension of the warning strike the union president Prof. Chris Piwuna stated that they will not hesitate to resume the strike if the government fails to fulfill it promises within the one month Time frame.

The strike will officially be called off by 12 midnight today.
