A fatal road accident claims the life of a commissioner in Gombe state
A commissioner from Gombe state is involve in a fatal motor accident which claims his life and that of his Orderly.
The commissioner by name Colonel Abdullahi Bello retired was the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Gombe State. He was on his way home after attending the North-East Regional Consultation on the Development of a National Disarmament, Demobilisation, and Reintegration (DDR) framework.
The accident took place along the Malam Sidi–Gombe road on Friday 24th of October, the commissioner was together with his police orderly Sergeant Adamu Husaini, his driver sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment in a medical facility.
Governor Muhammad inuwa express his sadness over the incident stating that Colonel Abdullahi Bello will be remembered as a person of discipline, courage and selfless service. Calling his demise as monumental loss to the state and the nation in general.
