The Lagos state just announced that HIV Survey and treatment will go around the state.
According to the Lagos state government announcement stated that, All the resident in Lagos should make sure they comply with the upcoming survey making sure it gets to over 11,000 compounds and this will determine the numbers of people who are to take the free treatment.
This survey will run from October to December making sure more data are gathered from the 11,000 residents in 6,150 houses and to the 20 local government areas in the Lagos state, the main targets resident is from 15 to 64 years old, making sure the percentage of people living with HIV are on treatment to suppress the virus by reducing HIV in their blood and improving their health also to lower the risk of transmission.
According to the government stated that the data collected from individual will be used to improve the policy and strategies for the state health system, with officials assurance for residents that all information will be kept strictly.
