Super Falcons Captain Says $100K Bonus from Tinubu Is Still Unpaid

Captain Rasheedat Ajibade of Nigeria’s Super Falcons has revealed that players are yet to receive the $100,000 bonuses promised by President Tinubu after their WAFCON win.

Despite the public announcement, none of the players have received the reward yet. Ajibade expressed hope the payment would arrive soon. 

The delay raises concerns over how quickly government promises are fulfilled and whether players are being short-changed.

While the Super Falcons celebrate their victory, their reward remains pending—raising questions on follow-through and trust.
