Israel's Plan for Gaza: Ending the War and Securing the Future
Israel's goal is not to occupy Gaza, but to liberate it from the Hamas terrorist organization. We are committed to defeating Hamas, which continues to pose an existential threat by vowing to repeat the October 7th massacre. The war can end tomorrow if Hamas agrees to disarm and release all remaining hostages.
Our plan for the day after Hamas is based on five key principles for a secure and peaceful future for both Israelis and Palestinians in Gaza:
Hamas Disarmed: The complete disarmament and dismantling of Hamas's military and political infrastructure.
All Hostages Freed: The immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held by Hamas.
Gaza Demilitarized: A permanent demilitarization of the Gaza Strip, ensuring it can no longer be used as a base for terrorism.
Israel's Security Control: Israel will retain overriding security responsibility to prevent future terrorist incursions, including the establishment of a security zone on the border with Gaza.
Peaceful Civilian Administration: A new, non-Israeli civilian administration will be established in Gaza. This administration must be committed to living in peace with Israel and will not educate children for terror, pay terrorists, or launch attacks against Israel. It will be neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority in its current form.
Since Hamas has refused to lay down its arms, Israel has no choice but to finish the job. This is the only way to end the war and bring about a lasting peace.
The Humanitarian Situation and Disinformation Campaign
We are also addressing the urgent humanitarian needs in Gaza while combating a global campaign of lies. Israel's policy has consistently been to prevent a humanitarian crisis, while Hamas has deliberately tried to create one. We have allowed in nearly 2 million tons of aid since the start of the war, and we have implemented new measures to increase the flow of aid, including:
Establishing safe corridors for aid distribution.
Increasing the number of secure distribution points managed by humanitarian foundations.
Conducting airdrops to deliver aid directly to civilians.
The recent surge in aid has already led to a significant drop in food prices in Gaza. We will continue our efforts to ensure humanitarian assistance reaches the people who need it, despite Hamas's attempts to loot and weaponize this aid. The only people being deliberately starved in Gaza are our hostages, held captive by Hamas.
The international press has a responsibility to be truthful and to stop promoting false narratives. We are actively exposing the disinformation campaigns and fabrications, including doctored photos and manipulated statistics, that are being used to vilify Israel. This is a deliberate and dangerous campaign that, like past libels against the Jewish people, must be challenged. We will not allow these lies to go unanswered.
