Governor Lawal Visits Communities Attacked by Bandits in Zamfara
Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has visited communities in the Kauran Namoda Local Government Area that were recently attacked by bandits. The governor's visit, which took place on Wednesday, was to offer condolences to the victims' families and reaffirm his administration's commitment to addressing the state's severe security challenges.
The communities he visited included Banga, Sakajiki, Kuryar Madaro, Maguru, and Tambarawa. The governor stated that he had been out of the state when the attacks occurred but had immediately sent a high-level delegation, led by his deputy, to the affected areas. Upon his return, he made it a priority to visit the communities personally.
Governor Lawal described the attacks as deliberate acts intended to spread fear and terror among the populace. He pledged to intensify security efforts to combat banditry and promised to improve essential infrastructure in the affected areas, such as roads, electricity, and mobile services. The Emir of Kauran Namoda, Dr. Sunusi Ahmad, praised the governor's visit, stating that it provided hope and assurance to the victims.
