Veteran Nollywood Actor Tom Njemanze Dies at 75
Veteran Nollywood actor, Tom Njemanze, has passed away at the age of 75 after a prolonged battle with prostate cancer. He died on Thursday, July 17, 2025, although some initial reports had cited Friday, July 18, 2025, as the date of his demise.
Filmmaker Stanley Ontop confirmed Njemanze's death via an Instagram post, expressing profound sadness and lamenting that "Nollywood lost another legend." Ontop had previously launched an appeal for financial support to facilitate the veteran actor's urgent surgery, underscoring the severity of his illness. Despite extensive efforts to save him, Njemanze ultimately succumbed to the ailment.
