Permanent Secretary Yusuf Musa Abducted in Lafia
Gunmen have abducted Barrister Yusuf Musa, the Permanent Secretary in the Nasarawa State Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, from his residence in Lafia. The incident occurred on the morning of Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
According to eyewitness accounts, the assailants ambushed Musa as he was about to open his gate. A concerned neighbor raised an alarm after discovering his abandoned GMC vehicle, with registration number KUJ 88 PA, and his home's gate wide open.
The Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed the kidnapping and immediately launched a comprehensive investigation and a statewide manhunt. Efforts are underway to locate and rescue Barrister Musa, as well as to apprehend those responsible for this heinous crime. The police are urging the public to remain calm and to come forward with any information that could assist in the rescue operation.
