Kremlin Denies Blocking Ukraine Peace Talks
The Kremlin today dismissed accusations by the U.S. special envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, alleging that Russia is delaying peace negotiations while continuing military operations in Ukraine.
Spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the allegations as “unfounded,” adding that Russia has proceeded “in good faith” and is keen to resolve issues via diplomacy.
He reiterated Moscow’s commitment to the agreements already in place.
Peskov also praised U.S. mediation efforts, stating "we are grateful," and noted that Moscow isn’t intentionally “drawing out anything.” He warned that misconceptions could derail the fragile diplomatic progress.
International observers cautioned that without a clear action plan and credible third-party verification, both sides risk reversion to military escalation. The issue remains a central diplomatic flashpoint.
