India has reportedly escalated its proactive stance against insurgent groups, with drone strikes targeting camps in Myanmar. Groups like the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), which have historically found sanctuary across the border, are now squarely in India's crosshairs. These decisive actions signal New Delhi's increased willingness to neutralize threats at their source and, if necessary, act unilaterally to safeguard national security.
High-Level Engagements Cement Partnership
Further solidifying their bond, Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Vice-Chairman of Myanmar's State Administration Council and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, held crucial discussions on July 16, 2025, with Lieutenant General Shrinjay Pratap Singh, Director General of Defence Intelligence and Deputy Chief of Staff (Intelligence) of the Indian Army.
