On July 5, top APC officials from the South-South zone are set to convene at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub in Benin City for a “Renewed Hope” strategy summit . The event invites governors, NEC/NWC members, lawmakers, youth leaders, and party functionaries to unify the bloc.
The summit aims to assess recent electoral trends, deepen grassroots engagement, and craft a blueprint aligned with national APC goals. It reflects the party’s effort to galvanize its stronghold in vital oil-producing states.
Organizers say it will also reinforce governance accountability and electoral preparedness toward the 2027 polls. The choice of Edo underscores its role as the zone's political fulcrum.
Analysts say the move signals APC's commitment to internal cohesion, especially following defections and opposition momentum.
