The 50501 movement—"50 protests. 50 states. 1 movement."—has surged across the U.S., with organizers claiming over 5 million participants in demonstrations against the Trump administration . Born in early 2025, it has rallied diverse coalitions under demands ranging from impeachment to civil rights protections.
Since February, major day-long protests like "No Kings on Presidents Day" and "Hands Off" have unfolded in more than 2,000 locations . These mobilizations marked the movement as among the largest coordinated grassroots efforts in U.S. history.
Beyond street protests, leaders are petitioning Congress with legislative goals: safeguarding LGBTQ+ rights, ending industrial tariffs, reinstating federal education funding, and reinforcing separation of powers.
