The 2023 Labor Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Ali, has commended Abia State Governor Mr. Alex Uti for his remarkable infrastructural development during his first two years in office. This praise was given during a Thanksgiving service held in Umuahia to celebrate Governor Uti's two-year tenure. Mr. Ali, the former governor of Anambra State, noted that any committed leader can achieve significant progress within two years. He also emphasized that his pursuit of the presidency is driven not by desperation but by a genuine desire to see Nigeria succeed.
He expressed that there is a noticeable change in Nigeria, stating that it is no longer as it was in the past. He mentioned the importance of traveling across the country, urging that one doesn’t need to be a Christian to appreciate Nigeria. Mr. Ali highlighted the need for future leaders like Governor Uti, so that, in the future, when people refer to Nigeria, they can do so with pride.
