Governor Sanitola Launches Clean Energy Project from Solid Waste
Governor Sanitola of Lagos State today inaugurated the first municipal waste‑to‑energy plant in the state.
The facility will convert organic waste into electricity, powering up to 20,000 homes. Officials said the project aligns with Lagos’s commitment to reducing landfill usage by 50% by 2030.
The programme is funded through a public‑private partnership.
