I am very delighted today to finally welcome you to Eph. This is something I have been trying to achieve for the last 9 to 10 years. It's true; I have been working to get you to come to the palace of Ephere during your 80th tenor as a governor. It brings me great joy that finally, Aubameyo University has made this happen.
Regarding the current FCT Minister, whether you are liked or disliked, what will be, will be. You are a politician who deserves to be studied. Everyone looks forward to hearing what you will say. For some reason, God has blessed you; I don't know how you have remained so relevant over the last 15 to 20 years, from your time as a minister to your tenure as a local government chairman, which spans almost two decades. For someone to still be significant today, there must be something remarkable about that person.
I think we do not do justice to you by simply clapping for you. Your Excellency, there is not enough time today, but someday I hope to have the opportunity to speak more about you. I am guided by a strong spirit and I sense that there are influences around you that drive your fearless politics. You speak boldly and truthfully, regardless of whose ox is gored. We appreciate your efforts up to this point. While not everyone may like you, many of us have a great deal of respect for you because of your courage.
The topic you are addressing today is crucial for our country, Nigeria, which belongs to all of us. You are playing your part and writing history through your career. I want to particularly honor the father of the nation, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Despite belonging to different political parties, you have managed to work together, and your involvement in this government remains an intriguing mystery. I believe this is something that universities should study; it is very important.
